We’re recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading name in the fuel distribution industry. This is an exciting opportunity to join their regional transport team and play a key role in driver development, compliance, and safety.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for on boarding and training new drivers, ensuring health & safety compliance, and enhancing driver performance. This is a hands-on role, working both on the road and at the depot, where you’ll lead training sessions, investigate incidents, and support transport operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver driver training and on boarding programs
2. Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental policies
3. Conduct post-accident investigations and driver performance reviews
4. Lead driver briefings, toolbox talks, and training workshops
5. Monitor tachograph performance and ensure compliance with working time regulations
6. Provide operational support, including traffic office duties and vehicle checks
What We’re Looking For
7. Experience as a Driver Trainer within transport or fuel distribution
8. C+E Licence (essential)
9. Full ADR Licence (required)
10. PDP and Driver CPC qualifications (essential)
11. Certifications such as SAFED or ROSPA (preferred but not essential)
12. Strong knowledge of transport compliance, safety regulations, and driver best practices
