Overview
Electrical Maintenance Engineer role at Sodexo in Gloucester, England. This position involves maintaining mechanical and HVAC systems across site facilities, delivering both planned and reactive maintenance to ensure operational excellence.
Responsibilities
* Deliver safe and effective planned and reactive maintenance across all mechanical and HVAC systems.
* Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on a wide range of HVAC and mechanical assets.
* Provide technical support during critical incidents, including out-of-hours cover when required.
* Oversee subcontractors and assure work quality against industry best practices and Sodexo Engineering Standards.
* Ensure all activities are carried out in line with health and safety requirements, including Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and permit-to-work systems.
* Support the training and development of team members to raise technical capability.
* Build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and colleagues.
What we’re looking for
* Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Services, or an equivalent qualification & 18th Edition (BS7671:2018)
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical engineering, with proven expertise in HVAC systems.
* Practical knowledge of engineering standards such as SFG20.
* Strong understanding of health and safety, ideally holding IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH General Certificate, or equivalent.
* IT literate with experience using CAFM/CMMS systems (SAP experience desirable).
* Ability to work independently, prioritise workload effectively, and communicate confidently with stakeholders.
