Job Description: We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Paediatric Day Ward Nurses to join our team in Stoke-on-Trent. As a Paediatric Day Ward Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing pre- and post-operative care to children undergoing day surgery and treatments. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for our young patients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality nursing care to children in the day ward.
* Conduct pre-operative assessments and prepare children for surgery.
* Monitor and support children during their recovery post-surgery.
* Administer medications and manage pain relief.
* Educate and support families with post-operative care instructions.
* Collaborate with doctors, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
Requirements:
* Registered Children's Nurse (RCN) with a valid NMC pin.
* Experience in paediatric nursing, preferably in a day ward or surgical setting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
