The Finance department has an opportunity within the Financial Operations team for a Financial Operations Assistant to oversee the group’s operational and invoicing processes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that the day-to-day operations of the department run smoothly by ensuring that effective systems and processes are put into place so that we achieve maximum efficiency within a well-controlled process.
This role requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to plan and prioritise a busy workload in order to meet challenging deadlines.
Your responsibilities day to day will be…
1. Responsibility for the end-to-end invoicing processes for one or more products
2. Weekly fuel volume reconciliations
3. Producing and checking of margin reports for Commercial sign off
4. Invoice checking
5. Reconciling and sending customer direct debits
6. Managing the invoice and credit postings within Sage X3 and supporting Credit with ensuring debtors ledgers are accurate and up to date.
7. Process control checking
8. Drive solutions for problems that hold up processing.
Experience / qualifications required:
9. Experience of working in a finance team in the above areas OR someone looking to gain experience in this area.
10. Be able to successfully multitask and prioritise work and adapt to changing environments.
11. Keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills
12. Excellent Excel skills (training will be provided where necessary)
13. Self-motivated and self-disciplined to achieve targets.
14. Positive attitude and enthusiasm towards work
15. Be able to demonstrate commercial awareness.
