We’re recruiting on behalf of a Top ranked accountancy practice that works across both commercial and not-for-profit sectors, including education. Their Ipswich-based team is expanding, and they’re seeking a motivated Senior Audit Associate to join their dynamic audit department.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services to a diverse portfolio of clients. This is a hands-on role with variety, autonomy, and progression opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting audit planning to ensure key risks are addressed
* Leading audit fieldwork for commercial and not-for-profit clients (including education)
* Completing audit work to a high standard with minimal supervision
* Managing your workload to meet deadlines and budgets
* Recommending improvements to clients’ systems and controls
* Coaching and supporting junior audit staff during assignments
* Drafting individual and consolidated financial statements (UK GAAP)
* Building strong relationships with both clients and internal teams
What We’re Looking For
* 18+ months’ audit experience, ideally within accountancy practice
* Part-qualified ACA/ACCA, or AAT qualified and working towards chartered status
* Experience using Microsoft Office and audit software (e.g. Caseware)
* Full driving licence and access to own transport
* Strong communication, organisation, and time management skills
* A collaborative mindset and ability to support junior colleagues
