Job Title: External Site Assistant
Equans is looking for an External Site Assistant to join our team in Baxi, Preston, PR5 6FN on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. The salary banding is £22,000 to £23,000, depending on skills and experience, along with a benefits package.
Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Thursday, with a half-hour unpaid lunch break each day.
Responsibilities:
* Emptying external waste bins, litter picking, and rubbish bagging, ensuring proper disposal.
* Supporting the HSE team in waste collection, segregation, and disposal of site-generated waste streams.
* Occasional gardening duties as required.
* Supporting minor maintenance or project works through general labouring activities when requested.

Candidate Requirements:
* Basic IT skills
* Competence in basic DIY repairs and maintenance
* Knowledge of cleaning materials, chemicals, and safe handling as per Safety Data Sheets
* Understanding of H&S procedures and precautions, including COSHH
