Job Title: Residential Worker – Solo Provision
Contract: 2-3 months contract with a local authority
Job Purpose
* Work in a small team to support and implement the development of the children’s home.
* Enhance and effect change for the well-being of all children through training and development.
* Be an effective member of Egerton Children’s Home team.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
* Recognize and meet the young people’s needs, ensuring freedom from discrimination and protecting them from harm.
* Assist in compliance with Ofsted, legislation, and company policies.
* Exercise responsible control over the children to ensure safety and well-being.
* Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of individual care plans.
* Organize and supervise recreational and leisure activities for the children.
* Ensure positive participation in the children’s home and attend training.
* Follow Child Protection Procedures and 'Safer Caring and Child Protection Procedures'.
Essential Experience Required
* Experience of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
* Approximately 2 years of experience working in children's homes and supporting vulnerable young people.
Essential Qualification Required
* Ideally will have or be working towards NVQ Level 3 in working with children and young people.
Additional Information
* Working hours: 36 hours per week
* Enhanced DBS is required for the role.
* New 2 bed children's home based in Whetstone, N20.
* Shift work available.
* The role closes on 15th August 2025, apply ASAP.
