A welcoming early year setting in the Derby area is seeking a Nursery Nurse to provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0–5. This role is ideal for someone with a caring nature, strong communication skills, and a commitment to helping children thrive in a safe and stimulating environment. As a Nursery Nurse, your responsibilities will include: Support children’s learning and development through engaging play and planned activities. Create a warm, inclusive, and safe environment where children feel secure and valued. Assist with personal care routines, ensuring children’s well-being at all times. Work closely with parents, carers, and colleagues to support each child’s progress. Monitor, record, and report on children’s achievements in line with the EYFS framework. Promote independence, social skills, and confidence in every child. To be successful as a Nursery Nurse, you should: Level 2/3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (or equivalent). Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting. Good understanding of child development and the EYFS framework. Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills. A nurturing, patient, and resilient approach to working with young children. Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
