Birchgrove Comprehensive School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and highly motivated Teacher of Mathematics to join our thriving Maths department from September 2026. About Us
Birchgrove Comprehensive is an 11–16 co‑educational community school with 750 learners on roll. We serve a diverse suburban area between Neath and Swansea, and pride ourselves on our inclusive ethos and commitment to ensuring every pupil thrives. Our ESTYN inspection (2019) highlighted:

We are looking for a teacher who:
1. Has strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4
2. Can deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons that motivate learners of all abilities
3. Has high expectations and a commitment to raising standards
4. Can contribute to Curriculum for Wales development and whole‑school improvement
5. Values positive relationships and effective communication with pupils, colleagues and parents
6. Supports inclusive education and contributes to our school’s caring ethos
