Working alongside your team of colleagues, you will engage with our customers and showcase our unique offer from the exceptional local producers we work with. Using your warm and friendly personality, your passion for delivering exceptional customer service will ensure our customers have a memorable experience every time they visit us.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Welcoming and engaging with customers, sharing advice on products, suppliers, food matches, and allergens. You will need to keep up-to-date with your product knowledge to deliver excellent customer service.
2. Rolling up your sleeves to ensure shelves are stocked, fixtures are cleaned, and our displays look their best.
3. Displaying stock according to our creative merchandising standards, maintaining presentation and cleanliness throughout the day's trade.
4. Completing daily paperwork, ensuring it is accurate and compliant with legal requirements such as HACCP, product date management, and allergens. Be sure to escalate any concerns.
You should have a positive 'can-do' mindset, a passion for delivering great customer service, and a willingness to learn about our products. Previous experience in a retail environment is a plus but not required. We offer full training to get you up to speed and to learn about our products and how we operate at the Westmorland Family.
