Ysgol Bro Dinefwr is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Humanities with a specialism
in Religious Studies to join our school from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to
contribute to the continued development of Humanities within a forward-thinking school committed to
delivering the new Curriculum for Wales.
As a Teacher of Religious Studies within the Humanities AoLE, you will:
1. Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Religious Studies across KS3 and KS4, with the ability to contribute to wider Humanities subjects as appropriate.
2. Support curriculum planning and the development of engaging, thoughtful learning experiences that reflect the philosophical, ethical, and cultural dimensions of Religion, Values and Ethics (RVE).
3. Promote high expectations for all learners, supporting their academic progress and personal development.
4. Work collaboratively with colleagues to share good practice, develop resources, and contribute to continuous improvement within the Humanities AoLE.
We are seeking a teacher with strong subject knowledge in Religious Studies, excellent classroom
practice, and a commitment to inspiring young people. You will be an effective communicator, a
reflective practitioner, and someone who contributes positively to the wider life and ethos of the
school. Welsh language skills are essential, or desirable if you are willing to develop your language
skills. Bespoke training will be available to support professional development in line with our strategic
aims.
