This is a fantastic opportunity to join my client, a highly-respected, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy broadening their geographical reach by establishing a brand new office location in Scotland. Renowned for lending their expertise to an array of high-profile projects across the landscape architecture, planning, and civil engineering fields, they are actively seeking a talented, experienced Senior Civil Engineer with extensive knowledge of infrastructure design who is willing to take on a diverse array of challenging projects. You will be working with a newly-established team of infrastructure design professionals, based in the beautiful, culturally-rich Scottish Capital City of Edinburgh.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
Contributing to the design of a range of projects and developments
Overseeing the day-to-day running of engineering projects, from initial inception through to successful delivery
Mentoring and supporting colleagues in their development within the company
Liaising with clients and other stakeholders across the public and private sectors
Preparing and checking reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, risk assessments, method statements, and other such technical documents
Adhering to company policies, procedures, and best practice, upholding the appropriate health and safety standards at all times
Acting as a company representative at client meetings, site visits, etc.
Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
A Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering
Hold Chartered Status with a relevant, recognised professional body
Experience of working in a design-based role, within a UK consultancy or Local Authority
Considerable experience of working on infrastructure (highways and drainage), housing developments, and energy engineering projects
Experience of earthworks and drainage network modelling
Proficient in the use of various software packages (to include Civils 3D, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, and others)
Considerable experience of writing and checking a variety of technical documents
Demonstrable experience of client and stakeholder liaison
Excellent organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
A Master's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering
Experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments
Experience of preparing Transport Assessments
Experience of leading projects/teams
Experience of working in a public-facing role
Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
