Description
* Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
* Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes effectively.
* Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and reporting requirements.
* Reconcile accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
* Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to queries.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
* Monitor and report on financial performance against budgets.
* Support the implementation of process improvements in the accounting function.
Profile
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
* A professional accounting qualification or equivalent academic background.
* Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting and accounting standards.
* Proficiency in financial systems and Excel for analysis and reporting.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Experience in the transport and distribution industry is desirable but not essential.
