We’re excited to offer a brilliant opportunity for a Quality Inspector with manufacturing expertise to make a real impact supporting the quality control team.
Responsibilities
* Carry out inspections on materials, components and finished products to ensure they meet drawings, specifications and customer or international quality standards.
* Check quality at every stage from incoming goods to final dispatch.
* Read and interpret technical drawings or other engineering documentation to verify purchase order requirements.
* Help keep us compliant with industry standards such as ISO, EN and rail safety requirements.
* Record findings clearly and keep quality systems up to date.
* Spot issues early, raise non‑conformances and support improvements through corrective actions.
* Work closely with customer service, projects, procurement and supply chain teams to solve problems and improve quality.
* Ensure inspection tools are calibrated and used correctly at all times.
Qualifications & Skills
* Proven experience in a quality inspection role or significant experience within engineering or manufacturing, ideally in the rail, aerospace or heavy industry sectors.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and specifications.
* Strong understanding of quality inspection techniques and measurement tools.
* Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
* Experience identifying and managing non‑conformances and corrective actions.
