At Glenwood Care Home, weāre more than just a care facility ā weāre a home. Nestled in a friendly residential area of Widnes, our service supports 12 wonderful individuals across two cosy 6-bedroom bungalows: Brown House and Hampson House. Our residents, aged between 24 and 68, are unique individuals with a variety of health needs, and weāre proud to provide a warm, person-centred environment where they can thrive.
Weāre now looking for a Clinical Lead / Deputy Manager to join our passionate team and help us continue delivering exceptional care. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and compassionate clinical professional to take on a leadership role in a truly special setting.

What Youāll Be Doing:
š¹ Clinical Leadership & Oversight
ā¢Deliver and oversee high-quality, person-centred nursing care
ā¢Manage a clinical caseload and support multidisciplinary collaboration
ā¢Lead clinical procedures in line with NMC, NICE, and organisational standards
ā¢Monitor residentsā health and respond proactively to changing needs
š¹ Operational & Strategic Support
ā¢Act as the responsible person in the absence of the Registered Manager
ā¢Support with rostering, staffing, and safeguarding procedures
ā¢Lead investigations, manage complaints, and ensure compliance
ā¢Drive continuous improvement through evidence-based practice
š¹ Team Development & Mentorship
ā¢Supervise and mentor staff, conducting appraisals and training
ā¢Lead CPD initiatives and statutory training programmes
ā¢Foster a culture of learning, autonomy, and clinical excellence
š¹ Regulatory & Professional Standards
ā¢Ensure compliance with NMC standards, safeguarding policies, and health & safety legislation
ā¢Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality and data protection

What Weāre Looking For:
ā
Essential:
ā¢Registered Nurse (RN, RMN, RGN) with experience in learning disabilities or mental health
ā¢Proven leadership experience in a clinical setting
ā¢Strong knowledge of safeguarding, MCA, and person-centred care
ā¢Excellent communication, decision-making, and mentoring skills
⨠Desirable:
ā¢Previous Deputy Manager or Clinical Lead experience
ā¢Familiarity with CQC inspections and compliance
ā¢Leadership qualifications (e.g., Level 5 Diploma)
ā¢Experience in clinical audit or research
