Home Instead Ivybridge & South Hams is recruiting a Live-In Carer for a wonderful elderly gentleman living near the sea in beautiful rural South Devon. He’s sociable, intelligent, charismatic, and well-loved in his community. As he enjoys getting out and about, we’re looking for a carer who is a driver with their own reliable vehicle. If you’re warm, proactive, and ready to support someone who truly values companionship and independence, we’d love to hear from you.
As a Live-In Carer, you’ll reside in the client’s home and provide a range of professional support services tailored to his needs - including companionship, personal care, medication, household chores and meal preparation - helping the client maintain his independence in the comfort of his own lovely home.
Our Live-In roles are ideal for those living locally, as well as for those seeking a change of scene from outside the local area. We offer flexible contracts that allow you to take on additional work during breaks from your Live-In role, helping you stay connected and continue supporting your community.

Qualifications
* We provide paid, award-winning training
* Experience working with people living with dementia is highly valuable
* Must reside and have the right to work in the UK
* Must hold full UK driving license and have access to own reliable vehicle
Responsibilities
* Meal preparation

* Outings / appointments
* Document daily activities and report any changes or causes for concern in a client’s care needs or living conditions on our app.
* Maintain regular communication with line manager and office staff.
* Know when to seek help and advice for their client’s safety and wellbeing.
