Location: We operate a flexible, hybrid working environment with the candidate required to travel to either our Winchester or London office once or twice a week.
Total Package:
* Up to £97,000 base salary

As a Senior Technical Architect, you will lead the end-to-end architectural solution design, platform, and supplier integrations for Broadcast Playout. You will collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Product Managers, and Platform Owners to innovate and develop strategic growth initiatives that align and mature our core architecture capabilities in line with an ambitious Playout Growth Vision.
Key Accountabilities:
* Expanding the Media & Broadcast Playout portfolio by bringing new and innovative products to market.
* Developing and maintaining a portfolio of Broadcast Playout technologies.
* Building relationships with key stakeholders including customers, internal platform teams, outsource partners, and suppliers.
* Supporting RFP processes through consultancy and written contributions.
* Leading and producing high-level design documents (HLDs) that comply with Arqiva design principles.
* Participating in vendor selection, including writing RFPs and evaluating responses.
* Influencing technical decisions through professional debate and challenge.
* Balancing architectural requirements with business and operational objectives.
* Planning strategic roadmaps in collaboration with Enterprise Architects and Product Managers.
* Providing architecture assurance and engaging with stakeholders.
* Developing and promoting best practices in architecture and systems engineering.
* Creating and maintaining design patterns for repeatable changes.
* Participating in pre-sale activities and engaging with customers.
* Leading design workshops to solve technical problems.
* Strengthening customer relationships through visits and workshops.
* Ensuring customer experience is incorporated into all designs.
* Considering commercial impacts, including delivery and operational costs, in all designs.
* Contributing to continuous improvement of policies, processes, and procedures.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Excellent stakeholder management and collaborative engagement skills.
* Ability to influence and challenge effectively.
* Proficiency in business process methodologies.
* Proven technical and delivery leadership experience.
* Exceptional communication skills, including executive-level presentations.
* Ability to innovate and address technical challenges strategically.
* Experience as a technical/solution architect in Broadcast Playout.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with industry-leading architecture frameworks such as TM Forum or TOGAF.
* Knowledge of Media Supply Chain, Scheduling, Systems, and Workflow.
* Expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native architectures.
