About the role: Our Northampton office is looking for an Audit RI to join the team. The Audit RI will work with the Senior Team to develop and manage the implementation of a strategy that secures a sustainable, profitable position in the provision of Audit & Assurance Services across our client base. The individual will support and develop the Audit & Assurance service line with new and recurring fee income, through winning and delivering the assignments in line with the annual budget and development plan. You will also play an important role in engaging internal and external stakeholders regarding Audit & Assurance. The individual will be an RI responsible for signing audit reports on behalf of the firm and therefore must have a strong technical background to ensure audit quality and compliance is maintained. Working on an extensive and broad portfolio of audit clients, within the owner-managed and corporate space, the Audit RI will work alongside Audit Managers and Client Service Directors on key and mid-tier accounts. The position will be in a client facing role, establishing strong relationships with a significant number of business owners across the region. A generous remuneration package includes: competitive salary monday to friday, 37.5 hours per week with flexible, hybrid working pension scheme group life assurance x 4 group income protection 27-30 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) birthday day off health cash plan quarterly functions and events access to our corporate reward scheme employee Assistance Programme opportunity to develop your skills and progress within the Firm regular training and development friendly and inclusive working environment Key responsibilities of the Audit RI role will include: To help support and manage exceptional delivery of Audit & Assurance services for our client base Responsible for the financial performance and management of a portfolio of audit clients Develop a strong commercial understanding of the client's businesses and any developments within it, identifying opportunities for our other service lines Ensure that the firm's risk management and quality control procedures are always adhered to Play an integral role in the recruitment, retention, training, development and motivation of the Audit & Assurance team Acting as a representative of the firm - participating in office marketing events, sector specific events, writing blogs and technical articles Driving existing and new revenue initiatives, implementing operational efficiencies and delivering client service to the highest standard. Commercially minded and able to develop business in new and existing clients Work with the Senior Leadership team supporting on strategy and business planning Winning and delivering assignments as necessary to achieve annual targets Maintain quality of services delivered to Clients About you: To be a successful Audit RI, we are looking for the following knowledge and experience: ACCA/ACA qualified, with practicing certificate and RI experience At least 10 years audit experience gained in practice Strong technical ability with a working knowledge of recent developments in relation to audit, and accounting standards (UK GAAP / IFRS, ISAs) Ability to demonstrate gravitas and impact to earn the trust and respect amongst both the senior leadership and the wider team Clear leadership skills with a proven ability to provide clear directions and constructive feedback IT literacy with a working knowledge of Word / Excel / PowerPoint A high-level communicator with strong inter-personal skills, both verbal and written Exposure to owner managed businesses is also essential Commitment to building the reputation of the firm through the quality of audit work and client service. Regular travel to client sites and occasional travel further afield, so a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential.
