Key activities:
The Regional Business Manager will focus on Building Management Systems (BMS) projects and services. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker who can oversee project execution, manage service activities, and take responsibility for the Profit and Loss (P&L) performance within the specified region.
Smart buildings currently deliver project works ranging from £10k - £1.5m in singular size + variations via an evolving blend of inhouse delivery supplemented by a selection of specialist supply chain partners. With an aggressive growth strategy over the next 3 5 years, this role will be paramount in helping to define shape and grow the team to ensure we grow sustainably.
1. Develop and execute regional business strategies for BMS projects and services, aligning with overall company objectives.
2. Manage and lead cross-functional project teams to ensure successful execution, meeting quality, timeline, and budget targets.
3. Oversee service activities, including maintenance contracts, troubleshooting, and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
4. Assume responsibility for the Profit and Loss (P&L) performance within the region, driving revenue growth and cost management.
5. Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for regional clients.
6. Collaborate with the sales team to identify and capitalize on new project opportunities, as well as promoting service offerings to existing clients.
7. Monitor and analyse key performance indicators, implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
8. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
9. Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
10. Extensive experience in business management, specifically in the BMS sector, with a focus on projects and services.
11. In-depth knowledge of Building Management Systems technology and its applications in commercial and industrial settings.
12. Proven leadership skills, with a track record of successfully managing teams and achieving P&L targets.
13. Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective client relationships.
14. Project management experience, ensuring the successful delivery of BMS projects.
15. Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and manage costs effectively.
