Technology Technician – Art & Technology Faculty Sir John Nelthorpe School is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Technology Technician to join our supportive and creative Art & Technology Faculty. This is a part-time role, working 20 hours per week, ideally spread across the week, and is particularly well-suited to a retired technology teacher or an individual with similar experience and practical skills in a workshop or educational setting. About the RoleYou will play a key role in supporting the faculty by:- Preparing lesson materials, resources, and equipment for practical lessons in Textiles, 3D Design, CDT, Art, and Food - Technology across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.- Stock control and other administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the faculty- To assist in the maintenance of wall displays- To maintain storage areas in a tidy state- To assist in the production of specialised tools and jigs as necessary- Assisting teachers with classroom setup and demonstrations where required.- Maintaining and organising tools, machinery, and workspaces in line with health and safety standards.- Regular use of Circular Saw, Radial arm saw, Chop Saw, Router, Table saw to support the faculty-Undertaking routine maintenance of workshop equipment and ensuring resources are well-stocked and ready for use.
