Would you like to be part of our dedicated team driving our vision to be a leading socially responsible organisation, providing holistic, high-quality, and accessible advice and representation for all citizens of Dumfries and Galloway? By joining us, you will be part of a team that makes a real and empowering difference to people’s lives through an independent, responsive, trusted, innovative, and flexible approach.
Our aims are to ensure that individuals do not suffer due to a lack of knowledge of their rights and responsibilities or of the services available, or through an inability to express their needs effectively. We also aim to influence the development of social policies and services both locally and nationally responsibly.
We have a vacancy for a full-time Triage Adviser (Job Share will be considered). Triage is essential to the smooth and efficient running of Dumfries and Galloway Citizen Advice Service and is the first point of contact for most people accessing our services. The Triage Adviser will quickly resolve enquiries using holistic and diagnostic interviewing skills, providing information and advice on various subjects, signposting, and empowering clients to use self-help tools. The Triage Adviser will refer complex cases or those requiring specialist appointments.
