Job Summary: The Technical Audit team's main principle is to evaluate and approve the validity of technical, industrial and maintainability choices and their justifications. The Technical Audit team's intervention focuses on the entire value chain, i.e. R&T, preliminary studies, development of new products or modifications of existing products and events in service. Before any new program commitments or Customer proposal submissions even for information (response to RFI), the Technical Audit team takes position on: - the maturity of proposed technologies and concept - the consideration of lessons learned - the risks linked to the development logic - margins to be taken into account Before any program milestone validation, the Technical Audit team takes position on: - the completion of required conditions in its field of application - the maturity of design with regards to business and industrial commitments The position holder is required to contribute and lead on these activities, so they are completed on time, and so is directly part of the audit activities themselves for all SGB engineering development projects. The position holder is required to contribute to effective knowledge management, through use of expertise and lessons learned from developments, industrialization and operations in service. Key responsibilities and duties: Executes the Technical Audit (TA) mission within SGB in line with processes and procedures as defined in GRP-0299. Work with the HO Technical Audit to; - Ensure Master Engineering Reviews (MER) and associated Engineering Reviews (Major D reviews and Part design reviews) for each development project are held on time and in line with process requirements (SST-DEV-012) to support milestone gates or internal milestones (in case of new product/feature development). - Act as an independent reviewer of both Master Engineering Reviews and Engineering reviews whilst identifying any improvements or feedback as needed. Complementary Description n/a Job Requirements The role demands a high level of experience and competence in engineering design plus all associated processes. As such the role holder is expected to hold an Engineering degree or equivalent and have demonstrated design experience within an Aerospace product development environment -Degree desirable, experience essential. The position holder is required to have an in-depth knowledge of all engineering disciplines and be able to find suitable solutions to fulfil all of those necessary aspects when a particular technical problem arises. A good level of technical knowledge is required in: - Mechanical design - Electrical design - Electronic control systems and actuation - Stress analysis - Dynamic and static testing, and understanding of results - Current industry standards, including all relevant FAA, EASA & CAA regulations - Airframer requirements and processes - all of the above, essential The position holder is also required to operate project management and risk management processes - desirable Please apply and submit your CV today!
