Role Overview:
The Supply Chain Warehouse Operative plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the site. Responsibilities include loading and unloading wagons, managing shipping documentation, and coordinating with freight forwarders to ensure the dispatch and collection of goods via various methods.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Create distribution requirements and organize transit to customers.
2. Prepare shipping documentation and coordinate with freight forwarders to ensure timely collection of goods.
3. Track third-party shipments post-dispatch and report on status.
4. Ensure trade compliance, including VAT documentation for shipments.
5. Coordinate and resolve transportation issues across local, national, and international shipments.
6. Work with the planner to ensure timely shipment from outsourced suppliers.
7. Record raw materials received in the ERP system, report damages or discrepancies.
8. Address supplier delivery issues within the site's SCAR process.
9. Monitor packaging levels, including returnable packaging.
10. Prepare monthly PI compliance reports to ensure controls are in place.
11. Conduct weekly ad hoc stock takes of high-value items and report findings.
12. Perform bi-monthly or monthly stock takes of other items, depending on accuracy, and report findings.
13. Maintain forklift truck (FLT) compliance and organize training as needed.
14. Complete weekly racking audits and organize training for racking resources.
15. Monitor returnable packaging levels and coordinate timely returns with UK and international sites.
Skills & Experience:
1. Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or supply chain roles.
2. Experience with picker/packer and goods-in/out operations.
3. Counterbalance forklift license is desirable.
4. Experience in physically active roles.
5. Understanding of GMP standards.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
