Position Summary
ITW Construction Offsite Europe is seeking a dynamic leader to join their fast-paced operations team. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership and team building skills. Manage employees performing activities in multiple operational disciplines & functions. Develop and execute policies and procedures for compliance and develop organisational and technical strategies in line with short term and long-term business requirements. Build and develop a customer-focused operation resulting in continuous improvement activities. Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, suppliers, peers, partners, and direct reports.
Responsibilities
* Safety to be the #1 concern – ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and a culture of continuous improvement for health & safety.
* Ownership for Production team ensuring the accountabilities and deliverables for direct reports are met.
* Obtain, analyse, and improve all the operational KPI’s of the plant by utilising ITW FTB Process to ultimately drive margin improvements and service optimisation.
* Delivery of differentiated service offering for operational teams with a clear focus on customer service excellence, product reliability and availability.
* Be a visible and approachable figurehead for the site, ensuring you lead by example.
* Implement, monitor and modify metrics which track achievement of the facility’s goals for safety, quality, cost, delivery, manufacturing efficiency, inventory management and direct activities which achieve continuous improvement in each.
* Continued focus on site performance optimisation with differentiated focus on 80/20 offerings.
* Prioritise issues and activities to develop sustainability improvement within the organisation.
* Identify, lead and develop talent in order to maximize individual, team and organisational effectiveness in meeting company goals and enterprise initiatives.
* Create and implement strategic initiatives aligning team-based processes to drive operational strategies and continuous improvement.
Experience (Essential)
* Strong understanding of safety processes within a manufacturing environment (Risk Assessment, Method Statements, SOP’s etc.).
* Experience managing large teams within a manufacturing environment.
* Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement through methodology such as LEAN with demonstrated examples of managing through change within a manufacturing environment.
* Motivated individual who is flexible and willing to learn continuous/lean best practices.
* Ability to demonstrate initiative, self-motivation and a positive attitude.
* Excellent organisational, time management and attention to detail skills.
* Comfortable in working within a team environment, contributing, and sharing best practices, resources, and ideas to continually improve.
* The ability to work to set standards and procedures.
* Receptive and open minded.
* Creative approach to problem solving and solutions.
* Actively contributes as a team player.
Experience (Desired)
* Experience working within the construction industry.
* Using and improving D365 as an ERP system.
* IOSH Managing Safely and/or NEBOSH qualification.
