Spray Painter - Magherafelt
We’re recruiting for a Spray Painter to join a busy production team within a well-established company. In this role, you’ll be responsible for surface preparation, applying coatings to specification, and ensuring a high-quality finish across all products. You may also be required to carry out detailed hand brushing on hard-to-reach areas.
This position would suit someone with a steady hand, strong attention to detail, and a good understanding of paint spraying techniques. If you're confident working to exact finishes and enjoy producing quality results, we'd love to hear from you.
About the role:
* £Competitive salary
* Monday to Friday
* 37 hours a week
* Permanent role
Key Responsibilities:
* Following work instructions for each individual project to ensure specification compliance
* Removing rust and other loose materials using a wire brush/appropriate equipment
* Filling, sanding, and smoothing surfaces that need to be sprayed
* Applying masking tape and coverings over areas that are not being sprayed when required
* Selecting and mixing the required coating liquids
* Selecting and attaching the correct spray nozzle to ensure the desired quality
* Spraying machines, products, and wall areas using industry techniques
* Cleaning spray cans, nozzles, and other spraying equipment after each spray job
* Inspecting and assessing spray coatings after the paint has dried to ensure desired quality has been achieved, in line with BS EN 1090
* Wearing appropriate PPE required for spray painting
