Aspire People are looking for compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support children with special educational needs in primary schools across Leicester. Role Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised learning strategies. Assist with social, emotional, and behavioural development. Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and achieving their individual targets. Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment. Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to staff and parents where appropriate. Requirements: Previous experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting. A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting pupils. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions is highly desirable. Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) are advantageous. An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
