About the Role:
As a Secondary School Teaching Assistant on supply, you’ll work across a range of schools in your area, supporting students aged 11–16. You’ll help create a positive and inclusive learning environment, assist with classroom activities, provide one-to-one or small group support, and work closely with teaching staff to help students reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide classroom support to teachers and students across a range of subjects.
2. Assist with the preparation and delivery of learning materials.
3. Support students with additional learning needs (ALN/SEN).
4. Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
5. Foster a safe, respectful and inclusive environment.
About You:
6. Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting (preferred).
7. A genuine passion for education and student development.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Flexible, reliable and able to adapt quickly to new environments.
10. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one through New Directions).
