The Role
BA Euroflyer - CAMO Technical Engineer
Responsible for ensuring the completion of all applicable urgent regulator and manufacturer requirements and non-mandatory modifications on the BA Euroflyer aircraft and engines, in coordination with the sub-contracted maintenance organization, to support fleet airworthiness.
What You’ll Do
* Review recommendations from sub-contracted engineering organizations, evaluate and approve technical documentation to ensure safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
* Supervise urgent and non-mandatory modifications, including disassembly and scope of work during workshop visits.
* Support optimal technical decision-making and lead technical discussions across departments, considering business impacts.
* Maintain technical standards, policies, and strategic direction, including influencing future legislation.
* Act as a technical and airworthiness consultant for BA Euroflyer with suppliers, customers, and regulators.
* Manage relationships with engineering and maintenance suppliers to meet service levels and cost targets.
* Oversee fleet reliability, monitor technical performance, and develop improvement plans to meet targets.
* Lead or support technical investigations following safety management processes.
* Report, present, and communicate operational performance and significant events to senior stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring To British Airways
* Knowledge of business, regulatory, and operating environments.
* Excellent communication skills adaptable to all levels.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, manufacturers, and suppliers.
* Knowledge of safety and quality management systems.
* Understanding of regulations including EASA Part M, Part 145, and Part 21.
* Project management, organization, and prioritization skills.
* Proficiency in report writing and business case development with commercial awareness.
Your Experience
* Experience in a technical or continuing airworthiness management role.
* Practical knowledge of aircraft certification, technical support, and maintenance.
* Experience in continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
* Familiarity with Airbus aircraft and documentation.
* Experience working in a low-cost airline environment.
* Knowledge of CAA Part-M, Part 145, and Part 21 requirements.
* Understanding of scheduled maintenance planning activities.
