Job Purpose: To liaise with the child's mother and engage a young boy with an autism diagnosis and communication difficulties. The child was diagnosed at age 3, is non verbal, inconsistent, may have meltdowns in crowded areas, runs away, does not understand personal space, can stimulate and make loud noises, may become overwhelmed, is strong and physical, can touch objects hard, throw objects, and has no sense of danger. He needs one‑to‑one support with someone who understands his needs. He loves sensory toys, climbing, sand, water, food, and the outdoors, but requires a specialist pram when tired or unsafe near roads.
Main duties:
* Provide one‑to‑one support for independent time away from siblings.
* Assist with extra curriculum activities that are enjoyable and achievable.
