£35,000 - £38,000 Assistant Management Accountant Ipswich Town Centre Free Parking We are seeking a motivated and detail-driven Assistant Management Accountant to join our busy finance team in Ipswich town centre. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in producing monthly management accounts, reconciliations, and supporting wider finance activities across the business. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post weekly sales reports and payroll journals with analysis. Complete quarterly VAT returns. Support month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, deferred and accrued income, intercompany movements, and interest accruals. Conduct detailed analysis of P&L items such as overheads and staff costs. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations. Review weekly staff expenses. Assist in the preparation of management accounts for senior review. Play a key role in supporting the year-end audit process. Prepare reconciliations for submission to the bank. Carry out ad-hoc finance duties as required.We’re looking for someone who brings both technical skills and a proactive attitude: AAT qualified (or equivalent experience). Strong knowledge of accounting software. Advanced Excel skills. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and self-review. Strong numerical, analytical, and literacy skills. A team player with good problem-solving and organisational abilities.
