Pharmacy Support Worker – Clinical Trials
Join NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde to deliver safe and effective medicines to patients participating in clinical trials. This permanent 18.5‑hour post works with the research and innovation team at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
Shift pattern: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 09:00–13:45; Friday 09:00–13:15.
Key responsibilities
* Receive and manage investigational medicinal product orders.
* Dispense oral medication and novel products to trial participants.
* Contribute to the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy clinical trials department.
* Support technical activities within the pharmacy clinical trials team.
* Occasional weekend or public holiday working may be required.
Qualifications and training
* SVQ in Pharmacy Services Group Award (at SCQF level 6) – required for GPhC compliance.
* Comprehensive on‑the‑job training programme to become fully proficient in the pharmacy support worker role.
* Knowledge or experience in clinical trials is advantageous but not essential.
