Support worker maternity cover

Sunderland
Community Integrated Care
Support worker
Posted: 19 August
Offer description

We are proud to volunteer in our community and love our work, including at coffee mornings, charity shops, and 4Luis.

We enjoy social events such as concerts and discos, and have diverse interests—some of us love music and dancing, while others prefer walks, coffee, and chatting.

We are caring, considerate, and helpful around our home, with some managing their own household tasks. We prefer our staff to be cheerful and chatty, avoiding loud or bossy behavior that could upset us.

There are always at least 4 colleagues on shift, with one waking night shift. We work shifts both mornings and evenings, from 8 am to 10 pm, and sometimes support workers stay later for social outings or support during night hours from 10 pm to 8 am.

We hope this gives you insight into how we can live our best lives with your support. We recognize that not everyone suitable for this role has professional experience; we value individuals' personal values and welcome applicants from all backgrounds, whether experienced support workers, those with lived experience, or newcomers.

Our core values include: We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable. We look for qualities such as patience, empathy, a strong work ethic, reliability, honesty, determination, problem-solving skills, and resilience.

If you find this role aligns with your aspirations and values, please click 'Apply' to complete our short application form.
