We are seeking a
dedicated and empathetic Support Worker
to work with
children and young people aged 11 to 19
who experience barriers to learning. These may include:
Autism
Communication difficulties
Sensory-based learning needs
Associated challenging behaviours
Youll be joining a close-knit, supportive team that values every staff members contribution and is committed to helping young people thrive, learn, and grow in a safe and structured environment.
What Youll Do as a Support Worker:
Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual learning needs
Help young people build life skills, independence, and self-confidence
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to deliver consistent support
Participate in sleep-ins (£40 per night) on a rota basis
About You:
Experience working with young people with learning difficulties or additional needs
Calm, patient, and adaptable with excellent communication skills
Able to handle challenging situations with empathy and consistency
A team player with a positive, proactive attitude
Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care) are an advantage, but not essential if you have the right experience
