The starting salary for this full-time, permanent position is £33,552 per annum based on a 36 hour working week. Part-time applications will also be considered.

We are delighted to be hiring a new Contract and Business Support Officer to join our fantastic Public Health team based at Woodhatch in Reigate. The role is open to hybrid working and as a team we split our time between collaborating with colleagues in the office and working from home.

About the Role

The Public Health Team is forward-looking, with ambitions to significantly improve the health and wellbeing of our county's population. Public Health sits within the 'Adults, Wellbeing & Health Partnerships' directorate, with links across the council, and with external partners and providers.

As a Contract and Business Support Officer, you'll be part of a forward-thinking and supportive team, working to ensure that our commissioned public health services run smoothly and deliver real impact. These services touch lives every day, and your work will help us to ensure they're effective, accountable, and responsive to community needs.

You'll support the management of contracts and provide essential business support to the wider Public Health team. Your responsibilities will include:

10. Coordinating performance reporting and tracking outcomes
11. Supporting financial processes
12. Organising meetings and preparing documentation
13. Taking accurate minutes and following up on actions
14. Communicating confidently with internal teams and external partners

Your Application

In order to be considered for shortlisting, your application will clearly evidence the following skills and align with :

15. Strong IT skills, including Office 365 (particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams) and experience using database or contract management systems to support business processes
16. Demonstrated practical business support skills with the ability to provide support to staff in a business environment
17. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and liaise confidently and professionally
18. Good problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyse and interpret data to support contract monitoring and service improvement
19. Self-motivation with a proactive approach to work and a willingness to collaborate as part of a supportive team
20. Organisation skills and a detail-focus, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

The role holder will need to have the willingness and ability to travel around the county to meet the demands of the role when required.
