Qualified Adults Social Worker

Pay rate: £30 per hour
Our client is seeking Qualified Social Workers to join the Adult Services team for a local authority in the North West, within the Mental Health sector. Candidates must have previous experience in Adult Social Care, with a solid understanding of relevant legislation including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Human Rights Act, and Mental Health Act. The team handles safeguarding referrals and manages complex safeguarding cases. Successful applicants will carry out Care Act assessments, Mental Capacity Assessments, safeguarding work, and multi-agency collaborations, including a duty function within the team.
In this role, you will work in accordance with social care legislation and local government standards, supporting the delivery of person-centered, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional expertise, you will assess needs and determine appropriate interventions, establishing and maintaining relationships with service users and agencies to meet identified needs.
You will be committed to achieving positive, sustainable outcomes through best practices, with a passion for supporting children and their families to thrive. Protecting the most vulnerable and ensuring efficiency are priorities.
Ideal candidate profile:
* Registered with Social Work England as a Qualified Social Worker.
* Possesses SW, CSS, DipSW, or a Social Work Degree, and is creative, flexible, and forward-thinking.
* Experience working within a Social Services Directorate or similar statutory/voluntary agency.
* Dedicated to continuous improvement to enhance outcomes for individuals and families.
* Excellent mediation and negotiation skills.
* Experience working with diverse client groups within an agency setting.
* Strong relationship-building skills with children and families.
* Committed to high-quality service delivery.
* Experience in multi-disciplinary, interagency work.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation.
* Minimum of 4 years of qualified experience.
Responsibilities include:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of risks, protection, and social care needs.
* Manage a caseload effectively.
* Utilize specialized communication skills to optimize outcomes.
* Develop individual care plans respecting diversity and promoting dignity.
* Provide guidance and support to unqualified staff and students.
