An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a teaching assistant to join a dedicated and experienced team at Abersychan School.
This role is suitable for a graduate or someone wishing to train as a teacher in the future. It is also ideal for those with experience working with young children or with a passion to enrich learners' lives.
The hourly rate ranges from £12.38 to £13.24.
Requirements:
* Strong spoken and written English, with good mathematical skills
* Good organisational skills, flexibility, and initiative
* Effective communication skills and teamwork
* Ability to develop positive relationships with children
* A desire to work within a forward-looking teaching team

Qualifications / Experience:
Essential
* Numeracy and literacy skills at NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
* Meeting Teaching Assistant standards or NVQ Level 3 or relevant experience
* Experience working with children of relevant age, especially secondary school age
* Ability to work constructively and flexibly as part of a team
Desirable
* Effective use of ICT and technology to support learning
* Understanding of policies, codes of practice, and legislation related to child development and learning
