Commercial Manager

Location: Hybrid - Onsite presence required in Weymouth, Dorset a couple of times a week
Salary: Competitive

The business works across a diverse range of sectors including defence, scientific, and aerospace, providing a technically interesting workload that supports consistent growth. Their precision engineering team is highly skilled and works collaboratively to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to exacting standards.

Role Overview: Commercial Manager to join the team and play a key role in shaping the company's future success. This is a key position for someone who can drive business growth, identify and secure new opportunities, and build excellent rapport with both new and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive new business opportunities and maintain existing client relationships
Work closely with leadership and engineering teams to develop strategic growth plans
Manage a healthy sales pipeline and identify market opportunities
Prepare proposals, quotations, and tender submissions
Ensure customer requirements are fully understood and delivered on time and to budget
Attend client meetings, industry events, and exhibitions
Represent the business professionally to clients and stakeholdersCandidate Requirements:

Proven experience in a business growth position within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
Experience working with sectors such as defence, aerospace, or scientific industries
Strong business acumen and commercial awareness
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Professional, credible, and confident when engaging with technical stakeholders and senior decision-makers
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage your own sales pipeline

This is a hybrid role with required onsite presence in Weymouth during the week
