Shifts: 12.0 – 12.5 hour shifts covering days and nights Monday – Sunday.
Salary: £25,600 per annum

We have a rare opportunity for an experienced healthcare assistant to join our surgical inpatients team. As a Care Support Worker, you will monitor patients’ conditions pre and post surgery, escalating to the nursing staff where necessary.
You will be a strong and motivated individual who is absolutely patient focused, with a desire and proven ability to deliver healthcare at its best.
This role is suitable for anyone has previously worked in a health care environment as a Care Support Worker, Health Care Assistant, Clinical Support Worker, Imaging Assistant or Nursing Assistant. Experience in a hospital environment is advantageous but not essential.
Role Responsibilities
As a Care Support Worker you will:
* Demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and be accountable for own actions
* Monitor patient’s observations in line with national standards throughout a patient admission
* Chaperone patients when required
* Willing to undertake phlebotomy when appropriately trained
* Ensure that your own professional development is maintained and enhanced
What we are looking for:
* Have a good standard of general education with proven literacy and numeracy skills
* Have experience working in the Acute Care Setting as either a Care Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant or Clinical Support Worker
* Have proven communication skills
* Demonstrate basic IT skills
* Hold and NVQ level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
* Have experience working as a Care Assistant, Clinical Support Worker or Care Support Worker in a hospital healthcare setting
* Have experience undertaking ECG’s
* Have Phlebotomy experience
