Job Description
Interim Turnaround Manager – Mental Health Supported Living
Nottingham | £380 per day | 3 to 6 month contract
We are working on behalf of a respected national care provider to appoint an experienced Interim Turnaround Manager to stabilise and lead a portfolio of complex, mental health supported living services in Nottingham.
This is a high-impact assignment for a confident, hands-on operator who can step into complex environments, drive standards quickly, and bring strong leadership to teams supporting individuals with forensic mental health needs.
The Opportunity
You will initially oversee two Nottingham-based supported living services, focusing on:
Service stabilisation and operational turnaround
Embedding a strong performance culture and accountability
Improving rotas, staffing structures, incident management and compliance
Strengthening staff capability and confidence in managing challenging behaviours
Budget oversight and performance management
Building effective relationships with CPNs, social workers and wider stakeholders
Implementing robust governance, reporting and quality frameworks
There is also an exciting opportunity to support the mobilisation of a brand-new 11-bed service in Nottingham once initial priorities are stabilised.
About You
Senior operational leadership experience in low-secure, medium-secure, forensic mental health services or offender healthcare.
A proven track record of turning around underperforming services
Strong knowledge of mental health pathways and multi-agency working
Confidence managing challenging staff cultures and complex service-user environments
Commercial acumen including budgets, rotas and workforce planning
The ability to hit the ground running with minimal supervision
A clinical qualification is not essential, but substantial mental health sector experience is.
If you are an experienced interim leader who thrives in challenging environments and can deliver rapid operational improvement, we would love to hear from you.
