You will be joining our existing vessel and workshop teams, working a 4 from 7 days shift pattern. ? Hours & Shift Pattern Your shift pattern is 2 weeks rolling, meaning at the end of week 2, your pattern will start again. This is a full-time position, 48 hours each week. Week 1 - Monday-Thursday, 6am-6pm Days Off- Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Week 2 Tuesday Friday, 7am-7pm Days Off- Saturday & Sunday. ? The Role Carrying out essential vessel maintenance including periodic vessel testing, repairs, monitoring, and reporting, youll play a fundamental part in ensuring our testing procedures are followed putting safety first. This is a great opportunity for someone new to the Tanker industry to learn from a team working in a safe and clean environment using high spec equipment. This role is open to someone who has a mechanical background, is vigilant and thorough in their monitoring and reporting, able to a work 4 from 7 day and is open to in-house training. Key Accountabilities & Hours Ensuring Periodic Vessel Testing is completed in line with our Safe Operating Procedure Carrying out running defect repairs Diagnosing faults Working on General Purpose and Gas tanks Purging out of flammable vessels Repairs to Pneumatic operating systems Access to the inside of vessels to carry out inspections and repairs There will be exceptional opportunities to be trained:in Working at Height, Manual Handling, Confided Space, Breathing Apparatus, Permit Writing, Abrasive Wheels and Rescue from Tank where required.
