Job Description:
The Lead, Resource Demand Strategy is responsible for delivering robust business processes, systems/tools, cost analytics, and data that enable effective portfolio/study planning and management of operations and resources within the Research & Development (R&D) organization. Key responsibilities include:
* Developing, maintaining, and analyzing study-level cost metrics to inform decision-making and improve cost estimation accuracy throughout the study lifecycle.
* Supporting the ongoing utilization and improvement of the sponsor's integrated operations and planning environment.
* Overseeing finance-related services supporting budget development, resource management, and portfolio/project information delivery to facilitate proactive planning and informed decision-making.
* Participating as a member of the Business & Vendor Strategy Management Leadership Team (BVSM-LT), providing strategic support and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities:
* Leading resource planning, utilization, and demand management across global R&D, including team leadership and fostering high performance.
* Implementing resource planning strategies aligned with business objectives and process improvements.
* Collaborating with project planners and cross-functional leaders.
* Managing operational budgets and forecasts.
* Developing data dashboards, visualization, and predictive analysis tools.
* Forecasting future resource needs based on data and industry trends.
* Supporting change initiatives to enhance resource planning capabilities.
Matrix Model Responsibilities:
* Driving financial stewardship and strategic planning activities.
* Developing operating plans and demand forecasts, including scenario planning.
* Overseeing workforce status reporting to define organizational capacity.
Business Partner and Managerial Responsibilities:
* Managing critical operations and strategic deliverables at senior levels.
* Building collaborative relationships with leadership.
People Management Responsibilities:
* Talent development, performance management, and succession planning.
* Fostering a culture of innovation and customer focus.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree with 15+ years' experience or Master's with 13+ years'.
* Experience in drug development and clinical operations.
* Expertise in project management, portfolio management, AI/ML, financial analysis, data management, and analytics.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Proficiency with project/resource management systems and data analytics tools.
* Leadership experience with global teams.
