JOB REQUIREMENTS
We are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to work within our EYFS classroom. The successful candidate will provide individual support for a child with additional needs, helping to promote their learning, development, communication, and social skills within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The role requires patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude, along with the ability to work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, parents, and outside agencies to ensure the child is fully supported to reach their potential. Experience of working with children with SEND, particularly within an Early Years setting, would be desirable.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
•Competency in English and Maths
•Knowledge of Makaton sign language would be desirable but not essential as training will be given.
•Previous childcare experience.
•A proven ability to work on their own initiative.
•A high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults and the wider community.
•The ability to use relevant technology/equipment.
•A can-do attitude.
•A commitment to the happiness well-being, self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school
