Are you a caring and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity? A welcoming primary school in Erdington is seeking a committed 1:1 SEN TA to support a child with additional needs on a long-term basis.
This is a fantastic chance to build a strong and positive relationship with one pupil, helping them feel safe, supported and ready to learn. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with autism or communication needs, and will bring patience, structure, and encouragement to every day.
The Role:
Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with special educational needs
Follow tailored learning plans and support strategies
Promote independence, engagement and confidence
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
Use visuals and clear routines to support communicationWe're Looking For:
Experience supporting SEN pupils in a primary school
Understanding of autism, communication needs, or sensory processing
A calm, consistent and nurturing approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
