Overview
The purpose of the role is to identify procurement opportunities and support the business with varying scales of spend and risk. They will provide insight and knowledge for commercial improvements and strong commercial agreements.
Responsibilities
* Data analysis
* Identifying and providing recommendations on commercial and operational opportunities
* Identify cost saving opportunities by performing contract reviews and supplier benchmarking
* Prepare tender specifications, review & evaluate offers and drive to completion negotiating and agreeing contractual terms
* Represent Corpay in negotiating pricing and formulating policies with suppliers
* Analyse market in the specified area of each commodity category and recommend management strategy
* Support the resolution of vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers
* Prepare reports regarding market conditions and material and service costs
* Support the operations team in ensuring that suppliers meet obligations in terms of responsibilities performance and priorities to ensure un-disturbed provision
* Support the business areas to procure goods and services as necessary
* Maintain systems with data updates, ensuring accuracy of key supplier information
* Tracking delivery of benefits realization of initiatives
* Ad hoc reporting and analysis to enable accurate and timely decision making
Qualifications & Skills
* Relevant procurement experience with proven track record of working on complex procurement projects
* Experience of establishing & negotiating contracts and service agreements for the supply of goods and services
* Excellent time management skills, prioritising and the ability to handle a complex, varied workload
* Experience of using IT based systems to support decision-making.
* Educated to degree level or working towards e.g. MCIPS and/or appropriate professional experience
* Great communication, both written & verbal, to build & maintain professional working relationships
* Excellent Excel skills
