Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a local government organsiation in the recruitment of a Payroll Manager.
Reporting to the Head of HR, Payroll & Organisational Development, you will have responsbility for managing the payroll provision – including leading a team of 3 – with overall responsibility for paying 1150 employees on a monthly basis.
Key Duties:
* You will ensure the accurate and timely production of the payroll service, whilst complying to both legislative and policies and procedures.
* To ensure pension compliance, and ensure both contractual & legislative requirements are achieved.
* To develop and maintain the Payroll/HR integrated system to ensure system security, functionality, and efficiency.
* To manage and develop the payroll team.
* To be proactive in delivering development & functionality changes within the Payroll/HR software system.
* To manage the central resource of payroll advice and guidance to colleagues at all levels and ensure the corporate approach of the delivery plans for payroll processing.
Essential Required Experience:
* Experience of using ResourceLink Software
* Excellent working knowledge of payroll legislation and payroll processing, and pensions legislation
* Excellent knowledge of HR/Payroll system administration including technical, development & maintenance knowledge
