Facades Technical Manager

* The company delivers technically complex commercial projects and is seeking two experienced Technical Managers to strengthen its technical and compliance function.
* The role offers involvement across tender review, technical submissions, consultant coordination, and live project support.
Roles/Responsibilities
* Review tender specifications, drawings, schedules, and employer requirements to identify technical obligations and compliance requirements.
* Confirm proposed facade systems and products comply with project specifications and performance requirements.
* Support bid submissions with technically compliant and commercially sensible solutions.
* Review curtain walling, glazing, windows, doors, rainscreen cladding, fire barriers, membranes, fixings, and associated facade components.
* Identify technical risks, exclusions, compliance gaps, and unsuitable product selections.
* Coordinate and manage technical submittals, product certifications, warranties, fire classifications, and supporting documentation.
* Carry out QA reviews on P01 drawings to ensure alignment with specifications and approved technical approaches.
* Coordinate technical evidence packs and calculation submission packages with suppliers, engineers, and design teams.
* Respond to facade consultant comments and technical queries in a clear and evidence-based manner.
* Support project, procurement, commercial, and site teams with technical guidance throughout project delivery.
* Assist with value engineering proposals while maintaining compliance and commercial protection.
* Escalate technical and commercial risks to senior leadership where appropriate.
Qualifications
* Proven experience within facade systems, curtain walling, glazing, cladding, or building envelope projects.
* Strong understanding of technical specifications, compliance reviews, and facade consultant processes.
* Experience managing technical submittals and approval documentation.
* Knowledge of fire barriers, membranes, weatherproofing systems, support brackets, rails, and fixings.
* Ability to review drawings from a technical compliance and quality perspective.
* Commercial awareness with the ability to balance technical compliance and project profitability.
* Strong communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.
* Experience working with suppliers, manufacturers, consultants, and project delivery teams.
