The Tank Museum's Maintenance Team sits under the facilities department and is essential to ensuring the site remains safe, fully operational, and welcoming throughout the year. Their work covers a wide range of responsibilities, from routine maintenance such as repairs, lawn care, and car park management, to supporting the wider team with event logistics. They play a key role in delivering our events programme, including Tankfest, a world-class festival that attracts more than 25,000 visitors. This position is supporting maintenance operatives, primarily with the roles of car parking and site maintenance whilst also carrying out pre-opening checks, resolving ad-hoc queries from the wider staff team, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. Key Accountabilities * Support the maintenance team in general maintenance duties. Car parking duties To operate and continually listen on the museum radios, when on duty. Reporting faults, dangers or breakages to the Facilities or Duty Manager. Assist with cleaning and maintaining areas of the museum. Support the events team in the set up and dismantling of Museum events and corporate booking. Monitor security of the collection Checking cleanliness and tidiness of the Museum Assist with close-down of the museum and all its facilities if required. Assist at special functions, events, and visits. Assist with Tanks in Action Displays What you will bring. Good adaptability & resilience when set a task. Good people skills.
