We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Manager to join our team at Lincat. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management, security, and maintenance of Lincats Information Technology (IT) infrastructure. This includes all IT infrastructure, hardware, and data storage systems. You will ensure the security and integrity of all data held within the IT systems, including firewall protection and backups. You'll also ensure that all required business software is properly licensed, installed, and fully functional on the designated IT infrastructure. The working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Key Areas of Responsibility Monitor performance of IT systems to ensure reliability and continuity of service.
Define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Implement solutions for identified IT needs, ensuring compatibility with current systems.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide effective solutions.
Manage annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness.
Maintain the IT asset register of all software and hardware.
Ensure that company and group IT policies are implemented and followed.
Liaise with the Group IT team on upcoming projects and rollouts.
Install, configure, and maintain server and client computer systems.
Install, configure, and maintain switched networks.
Ensure IT system security and data integrity.
Diagnose and resolve hardware/software faults.
Support employees with their computer needs. Setting up new users, managing back-up, security and passwords. Monitoring the company's internet and email use to ensure compliance with company policies.
Install, configure, and manage access to wireless systems.
Plan and implement project upgrades and improvements to ensure future manageability of the Lincat Group IT system.
Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies and procedures.
Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
Preserve assets, information security and control structures.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience 2-5 years of experience working in IT operations.
Proven experience in rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies.
Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, firewalls, VPNs, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, VOIP network traffic and routing.
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent qualification/experience.
Cisco networking qualification / Microsoft Core infrastructure qualification.
