Synechron is looking for an experienced Senior IT Risk Manager to support the IT Governance, Compliance, and Risk functions of a global bank. In this pivotal role, you'll develop and oversee our IT Risk Framework, ensuring compliance with regulations like DORA, NIST, and COBIT, while fostering a culture of risk awareness across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and mitigate ICT risks, including emerging tech (cloud, AI)
* Design controls, perform Risk & Control Self-Assessments, and support audits
* Lead incident and operational resilience management
* Oversee third-party and supplier risk assessments
* Maintain technology policies and ensure regulatory compliance
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and overseas partners
What We’re Looking For:
* 8+ years in IT security, risk management, or related fields, ideally in financial services
* Proven experience with IT audits, risk assessments, and governance frameworks
* Certifications such as CRISC, CISA, CISSP preferred
* Strong understanding of industry standards (ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST, etc.)
* Exceptional organisational, communication, and analytical skills
Strong market rates - London x3 days as week - Multi year contract (inside IR35)
