Classic Car Restoration Engineer based in Ramsgate, Kent – Specialist Role
1. Location: Ramsgate, Kent
2. Salary: Up to £38,272 per year (Flexible Depending on Experience)
3. Hours: Monday – Friday, Full-time - Flexibility on hours

Our client is a specialist in classic car restoration, handling everything from engine rebuilds and mechanical overhauls to bodywork and preservation. Unlike modern garages, this role isn’t about plugging in a computer and replacing parts—it requires a methodical, logical problem-solver who understands classic engineering.

Key Responsibilities as a Classic Car Mechanic:
10. Carry out high-level mechanical restorations, servicing, and diagnostics on classic cars.
11. Diagnose and repair engine faults, suspension, transmissions, and braking systems using traditional diagnostic methods.
12. Preserve originality where required by the customer, using authentic restoration techniques.
13. Work on E-Type Jaguars and other classic models, ensuring precision and authenticity.
14. Attend classic car events such as Goodwood and NEC, supporting customer engagement.
15. Maintain a clean, organised workshop environment, ensuring safety and quality standards.
Who We’re Looking For within a Classic Car Restorer:
16. A true engineer with experience in classic car restoration, mechanics, or engineering.
17. Someone with a methodical and logical approach to problem-solving.
18. A passion for classic cars and an appreciation for vintage engineering.
19. Ability to diagnose faults without relying on modern diagnostics.
20. Previous experience working with E-Type Jaguars, AC Cobras, or similar vehicles (preferred).
21. A valid UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
